Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Student/Parent
Can I take classes without paying tuition?
Yes! Étudions with Me is a non-profit organization composed of teachers who have volunteered to support students in need.
What is the typical class schedule like?
Classes are usually held 1-2 times per week for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Detailed class schedules can be adjusted according to the teacher's schedule and the parent/student's request. For better understanding, please look at the PROGRAMS page.
What are the class subjects?
Currently, every class contains 30mins of English class and 20~30mins of subject other than English. Those subjects include Maths, Science, Computer Science, I&S (Individuals and society), and Debate.
How difficult will the class be?
The class difficulty is different for each student and is determined regarding the student's English proficiency or Math level. After reading the course description and example articles on the PROGRAMS page, please submit your desired level of difficulty in the class sign-up application. The specified class level will be determined by the teacher.
How are students assigned to teachers?
In the class application form, there is a space to submit the preferences for teachers such as gender or age. After receiving the application, our leaders will moderate the matching process by considering the teacher's schedule and class difficulty. If you have specific circumstances or requests that we should consider before matching you with a teacher, please write them in the application form.
When will the classes end?
Classes are held on a monthly basis. We will send a feedback survey on a monthly basis starting from the date of the first class. Parents/students will be required to give feedback on the class quality and the assigned teacher, as well as whether the student would be taking classes for another month. We will adjust the class schedule accordingly.
Can I change my teacher after I get assigned one?
If your class schedule does not match that of your current assigned teacher, you can contact us to have an available teacher assigned. If you would like to change your teacher due to their poor class quality, absence from class, or unamiable attitude, please contact us immediately.
Who should I contact for other questions or more information?
For inquiries related to individual students, please contact your assigned teachers. For general questions or questions about changing your teacher, please contact through our Étudions website (Contact Form below) or via email (etudionswithme@gmail.com).
